Gilsonite for Drilling Fluids

Khavaran Paraffin supplies industrial gilsonite grades for evaluation in drilling-fluid formulations. Select the grade and particle-size distribution according to the base fluid, formation conditions and treatment objectives. Request a sample and the current grade TDS before a bulk order.

Specifications and Grade Selection

Criterion Information to confirm
Particle-size distribution Match the treatment design and mixing equipment
Base-fluid compatibility Evaluate in the intended water- or oil-based formulation
Operating conditions Temperature, pressure and formation requirements
Dosage Determine by laboratory testing and technical review
Documents Grade TDS, relevant SDS and shipment COA on request

Applications and Evaluation

Gilsonite may be considered in selected drilling-fluid systems for lost-circulation control, microfracture sealing and wellbore-stability objectives. Evaluate the selected grade in the actual formulation before field use. Performance depends on particle size, dosage, fluid composition and operating conditions.

Gilsonite, sulfonated asphalt products and blended lost-circulation treatments are separate product selections. Their specifications and treatment recommendations should not be treated as interchangeable.

Packaging and Supply

Confirm packaging suitability, net weight, order quantity and destination with sales. Container type, loading conditions and delivery requirements are agreed before the order is finalised.

Quality Control and Documents

Accept each shipment against agreed grade specifications and test methods. Request a sample, grade TDS, relevant SDS and shipment COA. Independent sampling and inspection of quality and quantity can be discussed before production or loading, subject to agreement.

Request a Sample or Quotation

Provide the base-fluid system, intended application, particle-size requirements, quantity, packaging and delivery destination. Technical suitability, documents, price and availability are confirmed after review.
